ANTONIO DELL’OMO

“My best advice is to follow your heart and your vibes. Energy doesn’t lie, if you believe in something you need to pursue it and always trust in a better future even if your present could be tough and full of uncertainties, it is just part of the process.”

Let’s start talking about you, who is Antonio?

Antonio is an Italian emerging designer, born and grown up in Cosenza, Calabria. He left is hometown at just 18 to move to Rome where he studied Fashion at European Institute of Design (IED). After his graduation, he left the “Eternal City” and travelled to New York, Milan and London where he is based now and, also, works as a freelance designer.

How did you start and where does your passion come from?

I started on March, 5th, 1992 ! When I was born actually. It’s more than a passion, it’s more than an ordinary job. I see the fashion world as a channel to express myself as an artist not as a fashionista. I love to communicate to the world my feelings that arise from everything that surrounds me.

What would you say to somebody with similar dreams as yours?

My best advice is to follow your heart and your vibes. Energy doesn’t lie, if you believe in something you need to pursue it and always trust in a better future even if your present could be tough and full of uncertainties, it is just part of the process.

Projects for the future?

I just hope to look back and realize that I came a long way, I had many experiences and have improved a lot, both personally and professionally hence I hope to follow this direction for the future and get better and better.

Do you have a special city where you feel more inspired?

My favourite place to live and work is New York City, that city drives you to measure yourself, and push you to move your limits further and further.

Creativity is part of this city as well as skylines and avenues. It is impossible to live in NY and not being affected by its energy.

At the moment you are living in London. How do you like it?

I really love London! Living in such a big and cosmopolitan city helps a lot my creativity and my daily inspiration. It is wonderful to deal every day with so many realities and so many stories.

How do you concretely express yourself?

I am really influenced by the pop culture. I like to create a feeling of electricity through the use of geometric shapes, acid and contrasting colors.

What makes you so special?

I am just one of those that follow his dreams and work hard to make it real.

Three words to describe you.

These three word describe, somehow, my personality:

Modern.

Urban.

Dynamic.
